Then again, it generally does around here.

We got buried under what I can only assume must have been about ten miles of snow the other week. Not I appreciate that should you come from an actually cold climate where snow comes as standard and everyone is allocated their own personal moose-driven sleigh to drive to work, it may not have seemed so dramatic. But this is not there. This is a land where public transport runs perfectly well as long as the temperature is held exactly constant at 22 centigrade and then stops working instantly the moment it varies from that.

I worked from home, largely. I get not a lot done working from home. Working from home does not suit me.

Working from work doesn’t either, mind. Four day week this week and they’re dragging me down to London on the Wednesday. Falalalala.

I will not be going to the Christmas do on said Wednesday because holy cows, who actually wants to go to a Christmas do in the first bloody place? It’s like a normal night out except that you don’t get to choose who you go out with and half of them are people you’d rather saw your own arm off than mix with in a social setting.

Saw Star Wars - The Last Jedi on Friday. Snap judgement - it’s about 90 minutes of great Star Wars and about 40 minutes of some of the worst written Star Wars in the series. Namely. . . . . .. .

. . . everything in the entire film involving Finn. Fundamentally, that entire sub-plot with Rose and the casino was designed entirely because they had nothing for Finn to do in this film and they needed to have him do something except sit around.

None of it makes sense. It’s one long series of ridiculous decisions, crazy, impossible coincidences and mad deus ex machinas that make less and less sense every time you look at it. You could practically have cut Finn out of this move and it would have ,made the entire thing make about 100% more sense. Which is a pity, really. I like Finn. They could have come up with something better.

Space llamas or something. With blasters. Space llamas would be awesome.
