So, no posts for a while. Didn't really feel like saying stuff.

So I finished reading The NeverEnding Story after a lot more days than it should have took. It was good but perhaps too jumbled around for my taste. Overall a good story for children. But I still think the movie was not wrong in adapting only the first half. It would just be a mess if they tried to do the whole book.

Today I began reading The Well at World's End even though I usually don't start a new book on the same day I finish my previous one. Read just a few pages really. I'm not sure whether I'll even finish this. It's written in that olde English lingo that's at times hard to understand. I fear I may quit on it eventually.

The next book I'll read will be The Three Musketeers. The 2011 movie was on TV. I didn't really watch it just caught a few moments. Got me interested in the story. What I disliked most about the movie (the few moments I saw) was the sets. I mean, this is supposed to be the reign of Louis XIII, early 17th century, that takes place in rococo and neo-classical palaces. My suspension of disbelief is pretty much shot in the head.

Saw The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Like the reviews said it was pretty average though had it's funny moments. But I have to remind myself to be pickier about movies during the holidays. Because, the movie started at 13.30. I arrive there at 13.12 and the lines are to the wall. By the time I get to the cash desk it's 13.37, but this time we are wiser. So I buy the ticket, run to the bathroom, then run to the auditorium and by the time I enter it they're still showing the trailers. I don't know, I guess I just always assumed that if they say that the movie begins at 13.30 they mean that.

Baked an experimental cake where I just made stuff up instead of following an actual recipe. We'll see how it went tomorrow.
