So today I continued reading The Last Innocent Man by Phillip Margolin. Now we are finally getting somewhere.

What happened in the Part 2 was that we finally meet our innocent man. A lawyer named Larry Stafford is accused of murdering Darlene, a policewoman. Back in Part I she was pretending to be a prostitute and was killed by a john. Her partner Ortiz saw him (briefly). When testifying on another case he saw Larry in the courtroom and became certain that this was the guy, but he is not 100% certain and later has doubts. David is hired by Larry. Larry insists he is innocent and we are led to believe that that is indeed so. Our first surprise is that Larry's wife Jenny is woman David had a one night stand some time ago. She gave a different name so he was not able to find her. He felt conflicted about the situation but eventually decided to still work for Larry and get him free. So far there are only random and insignificant obstacles in their path and we are led to believe that it won't be hard to prove Larry's innocence.

So today, because we finally have our story, I actually started liking this book. So far Larry's innocence seems obvious but Margolin is full of twists and surprises so we'll see how it goes. At this point the obvious answer seems that Gault is the one responsible. I can't help wonder that in the end it will be David who will be the last innocent man.

Yesterday I watched the first episode of Season 6 of Supernatural. Recently I was very surprised to learn that they are already in the eight season. Seriously, how did I miss that? I used to really like it, well the first three seasons. Anyway can I just say how I hate, Hate, HATE, the "I have no idea how I have returned from the dead" plot line. It's the epitome of laziness. Also "we had to lie to you" is just stupid and what kind of jackasses would do that? Overall I'm not very happy about the episode. It's weak beginning, it's vague about important issues and did not make me excited about the season. I'm still gonna watch it though, it wasn't THAT bad.

So this weekend we will be going to see Oma. We'll leave Friday evening and be back Sunday. And I'll have to make a cake and currently thinking about it. So far I can't decided what recipe I should go with. Too many ideas.
