Yesterday I had plans, today they were all crushed. So they stayed up for so long and didn't let me sleep then woke really early and it was all just ugh... so I couldn't start reading Heart of Darkness, too tired. So it is postponed till tomorrow. Hopefully then we will get back to reading. Well, actually, I did read something. I read a bit from the Well Educated Mind by Susan Wise Bauer. The last time I read it was in May when I read the first two chapters. I left off in the middle of the 5th chapter. It's good that I read, should return to it more often. It gave me some ideas for my NaNoWriMo project. Instead of epistolary it's gonna be first-person narration by at least 3 of the characters. And this time I'm gonna try and make the characters sound differently. We'll see how it goes.
Today was somewhat weird. Right from the morning is cloudy, like dark grey cloudy and it was raining. It's one of those days that are really nice if you have a cup of tea and some good entertainment, which I did. I finally watched Kickassia on thatguywiththeglasses.com. It's obviously really, REALLY, low budget but surprisingly funny. It's been a long time since I've seen something so enjoyable.
I watched Prometheus yesterday. I think it was yesterday. It was probably yesterday. Anyway my reaction is meh. I remember when I saw the trailer I thought that this was really interesting and I should remember to see this but then the bad reviews came and everyone said it's ending was bad or something. Basically the general gist was that it is a let down so I came with the idea that it might be bad. But it wasn't really that bad it was just kinda meh, some good things but overall meh. The ending was bad but when I had time to think about it I developed this theory and according to it the ending makes sense. The sequel will probably ruin it but here goes. At the beginning of the movie she is on a journey to meet aliens. At the end of the movie she leaves on a journey to meet aliens. That is not just sequel bait. Elizabeth's purpose is to meet perfect sky parents who will explain all and make everything good. They turn out to be humans, as in just as fallen as us. She doesn't accept it for reasons that are not properly explained or I can't remember them. Probably has to do with the faith because I don't think it's ever really stated what she believes in just what she doesn't believe in which is rather the opposite of faith. So naturally she has to start her journey again and the whole thing becomes a chicken and the egg thing. Maybe it's a origin story about the how origin stories are flawed and stupid because there's always going to be "well what came before that". But the sequels will probably make this "theory" wrong.
