Rick in Strangely Estranged

”…it is implied that Rick does indeed love Morty, as shown in “Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind”, when Rick starts crying at his memories of Morty, but generally he refrains from expressing it so that Morty does not become, as he puts it, “cocky”.

He does… or he did??? Really???

I wish I could’ve gotten to know him. But he was always Mom’s Father. Not really mine. I already had a grumpy Grandfather before and wasn’t shopping for a new one. I really didn’t realize the HUGE significance of it all at the time.
