I don’t have time to answer notes. Right now, we are okay. The worst will come mid-afternoon through early morning hours on Monday. Youngest son is with us, KittyCat is inside, lots of freeze-dried camping meals and water and ice on hand. I am most concerned about trees falling on the house or the neighbor’s house, so prayers for that will be appreciated, as well.

If I cannot get back online for a few weeks, please know that your prayers are appreciated. This is a survivable storm but we will probably lose power during the month of Florida’s most oppressive heat.

Three strong nephews (one is a fire chief) are bringing heavy duty equipment to help us once the storm passes. The first 3 days will be the hardest.

Stay safe. We're in south Orlando. Right now it's calm and a light rain is falling. We expect more around the afternoon as well.

ConnieK Seasons ⋅ September 10, 2017

Stay strong, Orlando! We have a slow, steady rain right now, with occasional weak feeder bands. The serious stuff is still south. Our toughest time will be around midnight, I think.

GypsyWynd September 10, 2017

We're getting bands of wind and rain, but the worst will be here tonight, I think. Prayers for us all!! Stay safe.

ConnieK GypsyWynd ⋅ September 10, 2017

Love you. Already praying for you all. I'll check in as I can and you do the same. Keep mote in your prayers, too. She's going to see a tough blow, too.

Chic Chat September 10, 2017

I have been thinking about you sweet lady. Praying for all of you. Stay safe!

ConnieK Chic Chat ⋅ September 10, 2017

Thanks! I think we're pretty well prepared.

Shattered September 10, 2017

Prayers. I'm so worried about you guys.

ConnieK Shattered ⋅ September 10, 2017

It is what it is. Worry won't change it. We are very welll prepared and three strapping nephews (one is a fire chief) are heading down with heavy equipment after the storm passes.

Marg September 10, 2017

Best of luck! Glad you have 3 strapping men coming with what's needed when it's needed!

ConnieK Marg ⋅ September 16, 2017

They were a blessing to have around!

Ferret Mom September 11, 2017

Don't worry about noting people when you are in the middle of a hurricane. I hope that trees getting blown down don't cause too much trouble.

ConnieK Ferret Mom ⋅ September 16, 2017

Some did a bit of damage, but mostly it was a severe pruning.
