Yes, We are Quite Mad in My Gardening Year

Wow, so long since i’ve popped an entry in …So much has happened
The first few months had been a stressful and horrendously busy period. I’ll most probably write a few post respective entries on various noteworthy parts of the whole horrible process we’ve been through….. But now things have settled down and now only the weather and building project managers are a problem .
So, the good news is we’ve sold the old house and moved out!!! … After nearly 20 years in the place I had thought that I would be more reflective and sad to say goodbye to the place. But after the past few months it became a millstone around our necks and I drove away glad to never see the place again…..
The reality was we’d done little to the place and then realised there was a fair bit to do to get it sold, even with a realistic price….It took us months to do a minimum clean up and decorating where needed… and then put it on the market at the very end of the autumn before the weather turned on us and winter took its grip…. We had a referral for an estate agent who turned out to be a God-send and earned his money … But after a month of nuts trying it on with stupidly low prices we finally went through some more realistic negotiations and sold the house ……
The buyers are crazies who upset everyone and were money grabbing and just plain nasty ….. They went for the cheapest builders report which will haunt them but was good for us as stuff was missed. then they complained about things that had no defects and missed things the builders report probably should have picked up on ….. Anyway more next entries on some of that …
So – here we are .. Homeless living in a caravan … Two old farts and a couple of cats….
And more on that soon too …..
Yes we are raving bonkers mad ………..
But its not been a dull moment yet..and the things we are learning

A new chapter in your lives or a new novel. Either way you will both power through the challenges and make wonderful memories.

I would say that there is no grass growing under your feet but I guess there might be if you are living in a caravan. We are looking at selling an old house...and deliberating about what renovations to do, if any.

So much opportunity there :O) weve wimped out a little getting a pre-designed house...just minor changes made to the design
