Today is the first day of school. Kayla and Timmy start school at 8:35 and Aaron starts at 8:00. The twins are tenth graders this year and have already been in the high school for a year. This year was not as confusing for them as they know the building and many of the kids. There are some new kids this year. Timmy and Kayla are on different teams and don’t have any of the same classes. I actually just typed that they have one class together, but Kayla corrected me on that. In addition to the Biology and Global Studies courses that I mentioned in the last entry, they are taking Trigonometry, Advanced English, Spanish, and Physical Education. Kayla is taking an industrial arts and technology class, and Timmy is taking a graphic design class. They each have one period as a study hall.

Aaron had his first day of seventh grade and middle school today. The parents received an email from the school on tips for incoming middle schoolers. It was about organization and study skills. Aaron said he thinks his classes will be challenging but he thinks he can do well if he puts the time in. He knew some of the kids from elementary school. He met two boys who are also interested in anime. (Sorry, I’m not sure how to put an accent mark in here.) He had his first cross-country practice after school today. They ran about a mile, and will work up to doing longer runs.
