neigh. in 2014

i took the quiz on buzzfeed regarding which job i should "REALLY" have and i got 'writer.' and it had a picture of tina fey and i'd squee'd with delight because, yes, in an alternative fantasy world, i would be tina fey and i would be a hilarious writer of comedies and dramedies and i would love it, and everyone would bow down to my hilarity.

but in my real life, i'm just not as funny as used to be on account of all my brain cells being dead and i'm too lazy & impatient to properly write anything of substance these days and so, it was nice to fantasize about that for a moment, but neigh.

in other news, we had our first inagural company dinner last night with all four of our company's employees. well, technically, three partners and one employee, but the headline here is that since our company was founded by liana in 2010, it has since grown to four full-time persons and we are even thinking of adding another full-time employee this year. because we are VERY BUSY and we are getting sick of doing All of the Work because we are old people now and want young, fresh, upwardly mobile people to do all the work for us while we sit back and count our cash. (another dream, but it feels good to try and manifest this one).

but really, this year we are costing out jobs with the idea of actually paying people to do more of the work, but also increasing our profit margin so we can do less working every minute of our lives and more enjoyment of the things in life that are also important.

today is the first day of the lunar new year and it's the Chinese "year of the horse." i think i'm really excited about what this horse may have in store for me and those i love this year. i think: GOOD THINGS ARE COMING. Yee-haw.

so far, i have held strong to my "no excuses" resolution when it comes to the workout situation. i've executed at least 15 minutes of exercise daily for the past 31+ days. feeling good.
