Lovely weather here on the Gulf Coast this week. I’m high and dry, but I’m trapped in my neighborhood as the roads are flooded. I am currently laughing myself silly at my sons though.
They called early today, they are at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian reservation. One son is a police officer there and the other is a dispatcher. The tribe offered a lodge to officers and their families during this time, and since both boys had to work, they took their families.
The natives are cooking for them and they’re panicking lol.
This traditional native American meal consist of unleavened flat bread, with some type of meat on it and no seasoning, dusted with raw corn flour. Apparently it is very dry and bland, so they are asking me to drive 70 miles and bring pizza.
I can’t anyway, so I can refuse with a clear conscience.
They now have to practice what their mother and I taught them; be gracious, be thankful, and clean your plate. I’m dying over here lol.
Please keep the people here in your thoughts and prayers though, lots of folks have already lost their homes and belongings, and it’s only just started.
