Thanksleaving
Four years past
And still the raining memories.
You held me,
Under the water
Choking without air
Till the freezing ice
Could drown all there.
You trampled heartlessly.
Thoughtlessly.
Rampantly.
Why today does it still remind me?
Why today does it still blind me?
Unfair to those in line;
Unlawful to my heart and mind.
The bread at the table then –
Poisoned and rotten brown blend.
The coldness still breaks.

This is a short, dysfunctional tribute to, well, a bitch. It’s a calamity just as she was. I hope her winter is cold.
