Falling Off

Sometimes falling off
The face of the Earth isn’t so bad –
Sometimes it’s enough
To make me appreciate what I’ve had.

My selfish ways
Bark out displeasure, less reason,
To entice the haunted soul
From self treason.

Only the night
Issues it’s hollow understanding
To which even happiness
Seems too demanding.

Yet to fabricate reality
Within the vast boundaries of life –
Praying blindly for you;
Silence, queen of the night.
