Tested and still positive;
Positive I want what is coming,
Excited but sickened with fear –
The time is drawing closer
And frightfully more near.

To keep holding on
And gasping for a breath of air,
I know I must keep this life,
The being I hold so fair.

We might not be ready
Or mature enough for this flight,
But giving it all we’ve got
Is the only choice that’s right.

Open, now waiting,
For life’s new beginning,
On the threshold of insanity
With my life’s purpose brimming.

With him by hand,
As a mother I’ll strive –
To make the best of this failure
And to keep hope alive.
