Scribbles of Happiness

Writing the first letters
Of your name on a pad
Brings back all the times we’ve shared
And the fun that we’ve had.

Scribbles of “I love you,”
While replacing your last name
Made me feel childish again –
Made warmth run through my veins.

Now that I’m with you,
Never again will I crawl.
Forever I’ll love you,
Never again will I fall.

Some day we’ll lock arms
And walk up the aisle.
We’ll ring each other’s fingers
And bask in warmth for awhile.

This day we both await
Until our moons are aligned –
Knowing in my heart,
That only you will be mine.
