For Angel-Marie.

Ode to Locks

Once growing,
Once flowing,
Now lopped
And on the floor;
Head now lighter
And face now brighter
Than it ever was before.

The locks have fallen
But not forgotten,
Like a child
You wanted more.
Your bravery stands
For washing your hands
Of the old style
That was a bore.

She asked me to write a story about her haircut – so I did. ;P
