Lilac Gardens

Walking in lilac gardens
Is an experience
For the faint of heart.
Those that are weak
Can be picked up by the scent
While those in love
Can be reminded what love meant.

Fragrance and color –
Inspires the eyes of another
To melt deeply into your soul.
Growing old in the gardens,
Gives rights and pardons
For planting roots ‘til you’re old.

A journey without lament
For those loved and lost –
A remembrance of time spent
In lilac gardens, loved without cost.
