Truth in You (For Me)
Take the damage
Say, “forever.”
Become my downfall
Say, “I’d never.”
Scream in silence,
Feed the peasants
Save yourself –
Decay your presence.
I’m the one who
Picked up the lifeless.
I’m the one you
Thought was flawless.
Here I am,
Shining and mangled.
I’m what’s left;
Still here, dangled.
Give me something
That is real.
I can’t take this;
I don’t want to feel.
All you say
Makes no sense.
I’m losing grip;
Locked-out, fenced.
Tell me, “Don’t come back again,”
I like the challenge you present.
Tell me you hate my existence
And I’ll show you what you resent.
Don’t turn your back on me
And leave me biting my lip.
Let me give it to you wholly
Stinging from the hip.
What does it take
To make you understand
That I can’t give you
What you want me me?
Release my hand.
Instead of excusing me this time
Just ignore what I say;
You don’t believe it –
You don’t want my ramble anyway.
I see the truth in you
Now make it reality.
Motives telling otherwise,
Ruining your slanted integrity.
I don’t belong here,
Not with you.
Something’s wrong here
Falling after you.
Bring me along
On this trip you take;
Release into me
The things you fake.
Answers I won’t have,
Songs I won’t sing
The hushing of my sphere;
The brushing of my knees.
