Drained

Pull them out of my head
Set them free.
I don’t want them anymore
Keep them away from me!

Clawing and gnawing
And shouting out loud –
When will the silence
Just let me be.

Let me bleed,
Down on my knees;
Barking at the moon
Freeing tonight’s breed.

Collapsing from inner frenzy,
Shanked of all that is holy;
Darkness overcomes me
Draining the bold and leaving me lonely.
