Pierced

Gauged ears,
Not without tears,
The young one punches holes
To subdue strangling fears.

Taking it to the farthest;
Contemplating the hardest,
Modifying her inner sanctity
While conversing with the Artist.

Is it ever enough?
Does this make you tough
Or does it only show more of you
As a diamond in the rough?

*Writer’s Note: This isn’t about ME… I don’t have any piercings. It’s about someone else.
