Dawn On A New Day

Shaking,
She pulls herself
Up to the ledge.
The rain,
Still coming down,
Floods her eyes
Like an unsorted one
Pushed to the edge.

Over the top,
Untrusting,
Pressing for answers
From Him.

Unsure,
Still lusting,
She hammers brutally
For honesty
From sin.

Excellence,
Less enamored
Now from this shifting fade
Back to the silence;
Back to a jade.

The light,
Still shining,
Sends birds flocking
O’er this grave.

The night,
Still shocking,
Leaves quickly
Unveiling this dawn on a new day.
