Shaking Circumstance
From shaking circumstance
The truth comes out;
What you did to her,
The one that shouts “Sonja” underbreath.
She still loves you
Although you’ve sickened her
From within.
You sought my advice
As a close, honest friend.
I think, half expecting of you,
That I’d agree with your position
Only to let your down in my true disgust
Of your choices.
She shakes, cries
And offers you her heart –
But you fed her lies
And awful distrustful emotions.
Within you’re pale,
Awaiting this judgement –
Stirred by what to say next.
One that purrs out her wantings
Leaves you feeling dishevelled and used.
What’s changes for you, Mr. Squared?
Are you still the man that you once dared?
Or have you changed from the commencement
Of your life?
“The truth shall set you free,”
They say.
“Who are THEY anyway?” you used to ask.
Today, THEY is YOU
And now it’s time
For the loneliness to set in.
Sorry to jeer you, my friend.
Welcome to reality.
