silence

Silence.
No motors or birds.
No chirping or words.
Silence of mind;
Silence of soul.
You and a reflection
Mingling with direction –
Of sight,
Of light.
Grabbing for a handle
On what is gone.

Hiding from silence
Only beckons penance
To be graced upon thee.
Shading vagrant balance
Ensures wisping malice
Under the firm hand of He.
