Numb

I climbed onto your cloud today
Wondering it it would tip.
We floated soundly as I slept;
Supported by your grip.

Alone tonight;
Haunting tomorrow.
I feel sleep overcoming me
And stealing my sorrow.

Perhaps another day
We’ll share a clouded taxi ride –
Remember our memories
And those we confide.

Off to bed ‘fore being forced to succomb.
Softly tucked in;
Alone again; numb.
