Midnight True

Sail into the midnight;
Follow the blue hue.
With sails of full-air
Go, sail forth true.

Between the water
And the sky
Seek out your mindlessness
.. Far from light.

The nighttime beckons
For your calling heir;
Calling infinity –
The stars all stare.

Watching,
Waning into the sea;
Forever glistening over you –
Over me.

Tonight’s the night
Of purge and fire.
Throw caution to wind
And call out the liar.

Within yourself,
Set her free.
Like gulls on a mist
And leaves on trees.

Falling,
Faithfully into my lagoon –
My sacred watchtower
Of haze and gloom.

In mourning we’ll seek;
In destiny we’ll loom.
Sailing our fancy
Over ocean blue.

I don’t know where the motivation or
theme for this one came to me. It’s a little different
for my style but there is something so true about it
that I just love. If you “feel” the words, the meaning
will gleam through.

G’night all,
Joe
