Until The Last Moment

Until the last moment
I hear your breath shimmer
I feel your heart beating
And see your eyes glimmer.

Are those your tears
Or are they my own?
I don’t know how to tell anymore –
Maybe I’ll smile and and disown that thought.

My pride pulls those moments
And keeps them showing.
I want to bring them home
Where I can start honing.

Until the last moment
I’ll stand by your side.
Through thick and thin I’ll stand –
Forever I’ll endure this tide.
