There is a love
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There is a love that begins in the head,
and goes down to the heart,
and grows slowly;
but it lasts till death, and asks less than it gives.
There is a love that is more than love,
that flows gently through your veins
housing a never ending spirit
with overpowering gains.
I believe I’ve found the love that can’t be forgotten –
and surely never begotten –
while searching through my only means of sight;
My heart and soul.
Soul-searched by passers-by –
left empty in solemn nights;
Drifted, drafted and drawn to close
but with you I’ve begun to lose my woes.
Just always remember that in the morning –
It’s still my warmth bathing your toes.
