Heart of Old, Heart Anew
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You had my heart,
But now it’s gone.
You stepped on my feelings
For, oh, so long.
Why did you have to be a bitch?
Why couldn’t you keep yourself in check?
Was it because I was hardly there
Or because your were a whore at best?
When I left life behind
And moved on to better things,
I pushed myself to the limits
Of what pure emotion brings.
Hurt and confused,
Discarded and used –
I packed my things
And headed for my muse.
I’ve looked long and hard
Only to find what I want;
Desirable but an everlastingly
Unattainable haunt.
A new one has my heart –
And will for everlong.
You know who you are;
I hope you’re not long gone.
The one called “een”
With the curly brown hair
And eyes of brown.
Understand where you are
In our awkward air.
One day we’ll come to our senses
And open our eyes.
Until then I’ll wait
For your heart to become mine.
