In Your Mind

In your mind
I wait for you.
You know I’m there
But still ask who.

I tell you secrets
And steal your fears.
You hide your pain
And I share your tears.

You are a fortress
With walls so high.
I know of no other strength
Than that of thy.

I long for those moments
When mind becomes real.
I pray for the wind
To blow in the heal.

When the day comes
To a full close –
I will hold you near
And feel breath from thy nose.

Our spirits
Inhabit one soul.
To make them the same
Is my life-long goal.

Will we ever acknowledge
What we already know?
Will we ever acknowledge
What our minds will bestow?

I pray for a chance;
One that is for life.
I cannot release the thought
Of you as my wife –
SOMEDAY.

I think that’s the last one for me. It’s nearly 6:30 in the morning and I think I have all the emotions out of me for right now. Perhaps I can sleep.

Joe
