Holiday in Hello.

I’m on holiday! We are in Northumberland, staying in a holiday cottage on a campsite. It’s so lovely and peaceful. I’m currently sitting watching some sparrows eating bread while listening to guinea fowl clucking in our neighbour’s garden. They have budgies, lovebirds and ring neck parakeets in flights around the park, as well as doves, guinea fowl, ducks, swans, big, pet rabbits and guinea pigs all roaming free.
Yesterday we walked along the beach to Dunstanburgh castle. I think everyone else in the world had the same idea. Cars everywhere! I ended up parking slightly further away, but the car park was empty and free. People are weird.
The beach was amazing. The girls had great fun playing in the sand and running in the sea. John and Eleanor spent a good hour playing hide and seek at the castle. We joined English heritage. We slid down sand dunes on our bums.
We slept solidly all night. Not sure what we are up to today, but tomorrow I’m meeting up with an old school friend who, I found out from Facebook, also happens to be holidaying here! We are going to Warkworth Castle to watch some knight fighting demonstration.
