Well, here we go, another entry already. Maybe OD closing and having to switch to PB has revitalised my writing juices! Work is proving somewhat hectic at the moment. Along with being given a permanent contract for the Nurse Advisers job I’ve been doing for the last year, I’ve also been asked to help out on another project as well for 2-3 months. This is doing NHS Health checks (cholesterol, glucose, BP etc) at companies bases in Suffolk. The county is pretty big, there are only 3 of us doing it on an ad-hoc basis, although I have 9 dates in my diary already! This is alongside doing my usual job as well and referrals for new patients can come it any time, have to have initial contact made within 24 hours and then a training day booked in when their equipment arrives. Well, one thing I am finding out that I am REAL good at is Time Management!! Home life is all good at the moment. I’ve ordered a new oven and gas hob this week. They should arrive 2nd week in February. We have an associate whose job is a kitchen fitter and knows all the right people so he will be fitting the items for us, then it will be down to us to get painting the cupboards! I’ve got to sand them all down first. Managed to do 3 at the weekend but time seems to just disappear when its “free” time! Hopefully get some more done this weekend. Weather here at the moment has turned decidedly colder and damn wet! I see all the reports of the US’s freeze even down to Florida. That must be a real culture shock for the inhabitants of the “Sunshine State”! Over this side of the pond I think we’re just going to grow webbed feet and hands!
