The meeting last night went pretty well. One can usually rely upon Daniel to focus on the solution. Daphne was wearing high, high heels. I never cease to be amused by her South Georgia accent. It chiefly consists of droppin’ Gs. I suspect that she affects it, but I’m probably mistaken.
Well, that Joan Didion book didn’t turn out quite the way I’d expected. I’m not sure what I expected, to tell the truth, but while the first two books were really interesting to me–for the most part–the remainder seemed to have been excessively political, which, with Didion’s dispassionate and humorless style, was more than I could handle today.
