I had my second last weigh in this morning for my weight loss challenge!! I was determined to have a perfect week last week by eating between 1700-1800 calories and doing my nightly exercises every single night and I managed it. I wanted to do it to see how much I could lose in weight and inches. I'm happy to say that I went from 174lbs last week to 171.4lbs this week and I also lost 2 inches. So awesome!! One more week :) :) I'm really hoping to lose at least another inch or two by next Thursday as well as break into the 160's and I really think another perfect week should do it. I'm dying to see if I'm going to be one of the winners of that challenge. It's gonna be a long week lol. And yes it's a bit sad that the $300-350 prize money sounds like a fortune to me right now but I'm pinching pennies these days so what can I say?

I had a breakthrough a couple of days ago with Miles. He has been getting harder and harder to get to sleep in the night by rocking him after I nurse him so I was getting less and less sleep as was he, not to mention my back was really sore. I was talking to another mom on facebook who followed a sleep sense program where you take away baby crutches like rocking them to sleep, swaddling them and even their pacifier at bedtime. I followed her advice and put him to sleep 2 nights ago in the night right after I'd nursed him without rocking him at all and it worked! The very first time I tried it which was at his bedtime, he grunted and moved around for 10 minutes and then started screaming at the 10 minute mark but as soon as I put his soother back in and left the room he fell asleep. And then I did it all 3 times he woke up that night and those times he went to sleep without a peep. I couldn't believe it! And it's been working ever since :) My back is so much happier that I don't have to pace around and around rocking him to sleep anymore. It's wonderful. And I can't believe it worked that easily. He's still waking up around every 3 hours in the night for a feeding but one step at a time here lol.

I cleaned and brought up Cody's activity centre the other day and put Miles in it and he can barely touch the bottom of it but he's definitely getting to the age where he'll enjoy it. The first time I put him in it he only lasted 5 minutes lol. But that's because he still wants Mommy to hold him a lot. That's ok though...he'll get used to it. Did I mention he got his first tooth earlier this month and found his feet lately so he's been grabbing them a lot? It's so adorable seeing them grow and change. I stuffed him into a snowsuit on the weekend for the first time while my husband was shoveling the driveway after we got another dump of snow. Cody was out playing in the driveway too and Miles had fun looking around and I enjoyed taking some pictures of him.

I made a new Mommy friend recently who also has a 2 year old. We went last Wednesday as well as yesterday to a church in my area that has a huge playroom with slides, little cars for kids to drive around in as well as a ball pit, random toys, books, balloons, etc. Cody absolutely LOVES that place and runs around in there flitting from one activity to the next because there's just so much stuff he's not sure what to play with next lol. It only costs $1 a child to go there and is open weekday mornings for 2 hours. It was nice having someone to talk to as Cody played. She seems like a really nice woman and we're going to try out a bunch of different play centres in the area with the kids. It's crazy how many free places there are to take young kids in my area like storytime at the library or different playrooms. It's overwhelming! You go on a website and just for my town there's a list of like 50 places to go with all different days and times of the week that they're open. We've been to a few but definitely wouldn't mind checking some more out as I think it's important for Cody to interact with other kids.

Here's some recent pictures of two boys that I love so very much: Miles
