We're getting somewhere... I guess in Daily Ranting

Hello. My time starting this is 9:21pm. I hope everyone had a good day.

I woke up from an e-mail from one of the Macy’s stores I applied to schedule a time and date for an interview. I was filled with joy. Turns out that I made an appointment 4 minutes after receiving the e-mail. Hopefully they see the desperation and see my qualities to hire me. I need this job so bad. But as I was reading through some job application blogs, I came across people’s ‘wardrobe malfunctions’ and sat there reading them for several minutes… I just kept reading… and reading… until I realized. I LITERALLY HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR. NOTHING AT ALL. NOTHING PROFESSIONAL. NOT EVEN BUSINESS CASUAL. I sold all of my “fancier” clothes to try and pay bills. Which came right back and bit me in the ass.

I was able to go into a Ross and find a clearance blouse for $6. And I hunted down a gift card to Zara from high school graduation. Luckily I found it. The gift card wrapping said it was loaded with $50. I thought, maybe I can find some pants and possibly some flats or something. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. It had $22. But it was something. I went to Zara and had no luck with pants being that the cheapest one cost an arm, leg, left temporal lobe, and my first born child. Yes. I’m exaggerating. But this is making me feel a little better. Just a little bit. I found some “clearance” flats for $28. After taxes I paid maybe five dollars out of pocket. Where else was I gonna find cheaper shoes? But anyway. I have my Macy’s interview on Wednesday.

Oh. I also applied to an Old Navy. I went in hoping to find some shoes there and all I saw was an incredibly messy fitting room and two employees freaking out at how bad the store looked. Before I left I asked an employee if they were hiring and not only did I get a “give me your name and number to pass on to the hiring manager” but I also got an ” OH. MY. GOOODDDDDDD. YES WE ARE HIRING. WE NEED PEOPLE OMG. I’D GIVE YOU MY PAYCHECK TO HELP OUT NOW!” That gave me a little hope in case Macy’s doesn’t work out, I might have a new home at Old Navy.

I didn’t realize how fast I was typing. But I’m sitting in the kitchen. Unfortunately. Listening to the gut wrenching, teeth clenching, horrendous sound of my brother crunching on chips as if it were going to save his life AND slurping RICE. YES. RICE. Who in this hell we call earth SLURPS THEIR RICE?! IT’S NOT EVEN SOUP-Y! THERE IS NO REASON TO SLURP ON RICE. I’m going to go insane in this house. Completely insane. I just might pray before bed to get hired to any job. At any location. For however many hours they need! Just get me out of this house!

I feel a tiny bit better. I hope everyone is having a less dramatic and less exaggerated day than me. I’m thinking about typing up one of my journal entries here tonight. But I’m not sure yet. So in case I decide not to,
