Today was my first ever "Snow Day'. On Monday the weather people were saying that we were gonna have some snow. It hasn't snowed since 2010..and when i say snow it was like just enough to make a tiny snow man. But anyways, we were told that work would be closed because of ice on the road. I woke up this morning and sure enough it had snowed..well it was more ice than anything. Most of the town is shut down and the roads closed. With me working two jobs the past few months, this has been my first day off in about 40 days....so it has been nice to not have to go anywhere. I am dreading getting out in it tomorrow...the car doors were all frozen shut today, so I guess I need to come up with some contraption to get that open in the morning. By Saturday it is supposed to be 70 degrees....wtf.
My step mom has been in CCU for about 60 days. She developed the flu which turned into double pneumonia and swine flu. She is finally alert enough to nod and mouth words. She was on the ventilator for three weeks then they put a trach in. Crazy how all this came from the flu..It is super scary. Hopefully this is a turn for the good and she will be on the mend.
New furniture is coming next week!! So excited. Goodbye stupid sectional that is too low to the ground!
