I had a really awesome weekend. It was our planned “work vaccation” Friday we watched logan graduate kindergarten then We waited at home packing up our things till grandma got here and we left for Seward! 400 miles to the south. We knew it would be rainy and not good weather so that wasnt an issue. Whatevs, its how seward, a harbor town, is lol.
We get there with little ado, only to realize i forgot my beloved DSLR camera and lenses in front o the washing machine. :( Headdesk. No photos for me, which SUCKS because we saw some amazing things. Friday we walked the docks and around town some and enjoyed the sprinkles. We watched a bit of tv and enjoyed a bath! We dont have a tub, only a shower, so a bath was nice.
Saturday i woke up coughing like mad as ever. Tony was throwing up big time. He thinks it was something he ate but when we got home. Chase started throwing up as well. Chase wasnt with us. So it could be a bug. Im having massive coughing fits, hes throwing up. Wonderful way to start a day as a vendor huh.
Get to the hotel and set up my table. Someone had moved me because she didnt like her spot, but it totally worked out in my favor. I set my rabbit right where she was the FIRST thing you saw when you came in the door. GREAT draw. So many people learned about angoras. pet her, if nothing else saw and felt one. When she got touched out, i put her under the table and had people feel a bat of fiber instead! I managed to sell around $400 in my yarns! Exciting! I broke even with my huge yarn order, table fee and gas. So cool! At the end of the night it cleared up but i was so beat from coughing and working all day we pretty much managed to walk a bit and then go to bed. By 9 30 i was asleep lol!
Sunday was our cruise tour day. We were on a orca whale watch. And boyo did we find them! A massive pod, or several pods all around us, eating. Even saw a few babies!! Here was where i was sad about my camera. Mostly the dorsel fin comes out of the water and sometimes part of their back. Sometimes part of their head. There was a research vessel following them around and we saw them coming out of the water RIGHT next to the boat. We did get a couple up close sightings when a bull decided to check us out and popped up RIGHT at the bow and side of our boat. We were on a huge 3 deck catamaran. I missed half of it, but tony saw a bunch which was cool.
They move so interestingly! If we were on board the boat we were supposed to be on, its smaller, and we could have listened to the sonar of them under water. But we had too many people and had to take out a catamaran. The good thing about that is, they are much less rocky. More stable. less seasick haha.

After our tour, we went home, i made chicken soup, and we went to bed. Im still coughing really nasty. and chase has a tummy bug. So we are up at 6 in the morning. Yay us. :P

So i have no idea if this will work or not. But worth a shot :)
