Weekend Recap in Trying to stay one step ahead

I had a good weekend . On Saturday I went to a mall with my daughter and granddaughter. My daughter gave her and her friend some money to spend as she wanted this instead of a birthday party. They went on their own and we wandered around looking at things for a few hours. My daughter found a really pretty snow globe with flowers inside it for her grandmother for Mothers day.
Mothers day was busy but fun. I went to the nursing home and gave Mom her card and gifts. I found some real pretty flowers and she wanted a razor so that’s what I ended up getting her. L also stayed and had the Mothers Day lunch with her. She enjoyed that and I think the residents keep track of who has family come and who doesn’t.
My husband and kids took me out to dinner and I got some nice gifts. They are good at giving me pretty much what I have mentioned that I need or want. The real surprise was the roses from my husband. He hates buying flowers so I don’t expect them. My husband looks at it as throwing money away but don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining for example right before Christmas our washing machine died and he went out and got one and then had a new dishwasher installed as a surprise because I had been complaining the one we had only did a half assed job.
Finished off the day watching my youngest grandson play baseball. He got 2 hits but we almost froze. I am wondering if we will ever have some warm weather.
