Friday in Trying to stay one step ahead

Today was pay day which only means one thing. It’s time to get groceries. I know some people enjoy shopping but I am not one of them. Costco was a zoo and Superstore was no better. My dogs are going to go into withdrawal as they always get a pigs ear when they go to bed at night but for some reason Costco has discontinued them. Now I have been buying them there for over 10 years so I’m hoping Walmart still has them even though they are not as good.
On Thursdays I have my daughters dog also and then the whole family come for supper. The kids just have to walk down the hill from their schools and it gives them a break from the bus.It is funny though that they are already planning the menu for the next week while they are eating. My granddaughters’ birthday is on Monday but her family birthday will be on Tuesday because of conflicting schedules so that will be here too. She gets to pick her choice for supper and her mother supplies the cake. She will also have a day out with some of her friends. I think they are going to the mall and then out to dinner. I am having a hard time believing she is going to be 13 already and her brothers are not too far behind her.
