Life's what you make it. in It's a Suhaila!

I’m still carrying on! Sorry if I don’t write as much but some days it’s just a complete routine for me, so my saying the same thing day after day, such as, looked after Jasmine, studied, doesn’t really count as news anymore.

Having said that, Jasmine is pulling herself up and trying to stand, and on the few occasions she has managed it, she clutches on for dear life to whatever she has pulled herself up against, usually the sofa or the coffee table. I need to make sure the baby gates are secure if she is going to start walking soon, for her safety.

Studies are going well, I’m really getting into it now, dividing my time betwen Jasmine and the studies - when I settle her down for a nap I really go for it. I find that music in headphones helps too, sometimes you just need to block everything out to allow you to focus. But I put on a playlist that is no more than 90 minutes long which is enough for me to get a bit of work done and enough for Jasmine to nap.

I’m really looking forwards to next weekend, my sister comes back from university for her easter break. Even though I have been kept busy with my studies, I’ve still missed her, and Jasmine gets an auntie back to play with again.

I was worried that things were going to get complicated with Scott and Jasmine’s father coming to see her but they aren’t. However there are going to be awkward moments as Scott will have to accept that someone I have had sex with in the past is going to be around regularly, and Jasmine’s father is going to have to accept that I will be moving on and having a sexual relationship with Scott.

Which brings me on to Scott. We are still seeing each other regularly, and getting closer to each other each time. And to the curious among you, no, we haven’t had sex yet. In fact when I think about it, Scott is the one I have waited longest for - Jasmine’s father was a get-it-over-with thing for me, Daniel the cheating ex was three weeks, but Scott is fast approaching the two month mark and clothes have stayed on so far. I would be lying if I said I am not strongly considering taking that step, but I want it to be right. The problem is, you never know until after if it was right. I think I’ll just let it happen when it’s time, not plan it and say something like “Right we’re having sex a week on Tuesday” because that to me seems mechanical rather than natural.

I really don’t want to do the ironing today. Any offers to do it for me?
