It’s a longer story than maybe I have time for. It’s complicated with a history and a childhood and an adolescence.
The farther this life and this journey proceed from an end time, the more childlike I have become in the joy I feel when I meet someone I’ve not seen in a long time. There are so many beginnings and endings when you look back on a lifetime. Fragments and crystal pieces scatter over everything; atop a beautiful cloth that sometimes puts us unassuming, and unexpectedly, back together from time to time.
I am touched and also startled at how time and age changes boundaries and leaves me with deep wonders for others.
