Study Nature, love Nature, stay close to Nature. It will never fail you.

Frank Lloyd Wright

This has been a glorious Spring, although early, and how we needed it after the Fall and Winter just past. What I look forward to most in this season of new life are the azaleas which bloom in brilliant profusion all over our area in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Each Spring, I am inspired to post pictures of them here. Whether I’m at Charles Towne Landing, Hampton Park, Magnolia Gardens, or just taking walks downtown in our fair city, the image of brilliant red, pink, white and pale purple flowering shrubs delight and fill the eyes and mind with such images of beauty that I always feel a surge of hope. How we need it in the coming years. Thank God for Spring.

I’ve been around photographing azaleas and here are some of my favorites:

I have savored this Spring more than any other, I believe.

That's because you know each season is fleeting and appreciating it all, fully, is important.

Oh my word - those colours - just beautiful! There's something so evocative about a photo of a path between magnificent trees with gorgeous flowers bordering it. Just makes you want to be there!
