to say she made an entrance was akin to saying it was a little windy in the middle of a tornado. when that door opened and she walked into the room, it seemed like everyone was aware of her presence. i looked up and in trying to not to seem transfixed like everyone else, i think it apparent that i was, indeed, so.
she didn’t really walk into the place as much as she. took it completely over. and even when the lights dimmed and before the spotlight hit the stage, i could still feel her complete. darkness.
the guitar and the keyboard began their intricate dance. a dark blue hue hung over the crowd, and except for the shuffling of feet and bodies to the music, the place seemed. incredibly soundless.
i sensed her presence before i felt her hand against my skin as she pulled even closer.
before i could even ask myself how all of this was happening, i felt them. her lips. on mine. slow soft and not the least bit unsure.
the drums joined the cacophony as she exploded inside my head.
