I guess it is official. OD is shutting down. I am a bit shocked, but not surprised, giving all of the problems that the site has been having in the last year or so. I do wish that Bruce had been honest to everyone, and just announce that he was pulling the plug, and giving folks time to remove their content. Thank you, dear friends, for letting me know, as my last entry there was in November of last year.
I do intend to keep online journals, it's a good way to keep in touch with myself, and others, and trying to keep the isolation at bay. It's just well, depressing.
It has turned mightily cold up here on the Hudson. Even the kitties are feeling the chill and snuggling with us. Even Miss Sophy, who tends to be a bit standoffish -- she prefers her perch, especially as we took one of those cheap fleece throws and padded it a bit more. Now she has a wee nest, and she is quite happy.
I have managed to hit ten books read for the month, and I have started another, The Luminairies by Eleanor Catton, It's dense and rather convoluted, so far, but I like it. It's also set in New Zealand.
