Getting home today, I checked the news for video game stuff and lo and behold, for the first time ever, E3 is opening it’s doors to the public.

E3 is the electronic entertainment expo. It’s a 3 day event with all the new game announcements, with kiosks to try some of them out and panels with developers for Q&A.

For me, this is the most exciting time of the year. It goes back to when I was a teenager and the only way of knowing about it was through gaming magazine coverage articles. Every summer, I would get antsy for the new magazines to read all the announced titles, see all the photos taken, and read about what was said or done by developers.

Every year, I would do the same, till the age of the interwebs and live streams. It would become a one person party (with Melz included) to watch all the panels and making note of all announcements.

Despite being so into the gaming world and E3, I couldn’t ever attend as it was restricted access to only those doing news coverage for major gaming sites/magazines.

Till now, but with a catch.

It’s limited tickets to 15000 and while that may seem a lot, it will likely sell out in minutes. They’re $150 each but we’d have to fly there as well, plus hotel fees.

It’s not gonna be cheap.

But we don’t really go out much or anything, so it won’t be too bad. Plus we got a few months till then.

I really hope I can go.

If I score the tickets, I may hyperventilate with happiness. Haha.
