I got my rotation schedule sorted out yesterday and I'm really quite pleased by that everything went so smoothly! In my one random blank rotation block, I was able to schedule my required General Practice rotation and an Ophthalmology position opened up right where the Nutrition rotation I wanted to drop was scheduled. Perfect! That's all I had to do! I didn't have to rearrange my schedule at all! I'm so happy it all worked out so well!
Here's my life from the end of April 2014 until May 2015:

It seems like a really well-balanced schedule. I don't have any super intensive rotations back to back so I shouldn't burn out too much. Plus my electives and vacation blocks are well spaced, getting me out of the hospital on a fairly regular basis. And in the time frame when I have to take the NAVLE, my national board exam, I'm scheduled for rotations that will give me a day off to take it!
This is all so exciting and terrifying! EEK!
