Once you decide to leave your home and travel somewhere or celebrate special occasions, you start to look for nice and cheap hotels, a room with a view of the ocean or the mountains, excellent service and great sightseeing experiences. However, in these five hotels we are going to mention bellow, you can experience a lot without even putting your feet from your apartment.
Let’s get acquainted with the top five of truly original hotels. Although we can count hundreds of them, today we would like to share the ones which distinguish the most.

Ice Hotel, Sweden

This is the largest hotel in the world, created from ice and snow. The strangest thing is that all the furniture is also made of these materials, so you will be sleeping in ice bed and can feel like a real snow queen or king.
These apartments are actually melting each day for a little bit, so the team of architects rebuilt and restore rooms, a bar and a chapel consuming several hundred tons of ice each year. Yes, the hotel is equipped with a tiny church, and you might even throw your wedding ceremony here if you like! If the winter is your favorite time of year, you can now pack the suitcase with fur and wool socks, because the ice hotel greets its guests with 5° C.

Mirrored Cube, Sweden

If you are crazy about the modern design, the Cube should meet all of your expectations. The hotel’s idea - light weight aluminum box attached to a tree and covered with a layer of mirrors from the outside. At one time this cube can accommodate two people, so it is perfect for a romantic stay too.
Amazingly, this small square fits everything you would like to find in every hotel: living room, bathroom, double bed and even a terrace equipped with a roof. It is said that to get to these nesting boxes is as fun as to live in it: rope bridge leads to tree houses, which are attached to the pine trees growing nearby.

Sand Castle Hotel, Great Britain, Dorset

This seafront resting place was made using around 1100 tons of sand. Four sculptural teams created this hotel within seven days, on a daily basis spending fourteen hours working on it. Sadly, but the storm often destroys their diligent work after a week of another.
However, these fantastic apartments are always welcoming guests. Book it, if you enjoy the opportunity to sleep in the open air and enjoy the sea waves. If you cannot stand the sand-laden clothes and can’t imagine your life without indoor toilets, Sand Castle hotel should rather be removed from the list of your desirable places to visit.

Karosta Prison (Karosta Cietums) Latvia

This hotel is the ideal choice for all lovers of extreme sensations. Built in 1905, this military prison had to keep revolutionaries and enemies of the state safe. Today this ex-institution does not meet the full requirements of a good hotel, after all, travelers expect security, cleanliness, and excellent service while arriving at the hotel. But Karosta’s prison rules are an exception.
Here you will experience truly unforgettable experiences: sleeping on dirty loungers, eat poor food and will have to deal with jailers’ rudeness. You won’t wish to come back to this hotel ever again, but the memories will haunt you for long.

Divine chocolate apartments (Godiva Chocolate Suite) the USA

This chocolate house can be easily called divine (translated from the Old English“Godiva” means the “gift of God”). The entire luxury suite there is made of chocolate: armchairs, a bed, artwork, walls, and even the lamps! Be that as it may, people who cannot resist the divine taste of chocolate all agree that this hotel was designed for eating, not sleeping. But we can’t ensure that you can really eat all the furniture you will find in a room - after all, where are you going to sleep?
