I don’t know who Lena Dunham is or why people think we should poo poo the reality that some people wish they had an abortion instead of being socialised to carry to term/raise a child.
A lot of people have children due to circumstance, socialisation, religious pressure and regret it for all their life, even if they love their child. Parenthood, tho beautiful and wanted by many, is a noose to others that steals their life away.
They is absolutley nothing unethical about getting rid of a small bunch of cells that may or may not have the capacity for sapient existance and no one should feel that they have no choice in the matter and/or that they may never be given the choice to speak about regreting this decision.
We are no longer a society that has a paradigm set by blood lines nor the need to “go forth and multiply” Socially and personally there should be no enforcement of parenthood or childrearing.

Yeah, she's kind of a twat. I heard the same as what the above person said. Lena Dunham said she wishes she could have an abortion (but she's not pregnant and I am assuming never has been). Who in the world would want to go through that kind of procedure? I suppose 'celebrities' will say anything to stay relevant. Though in her case it's not working because she's still a D-list celebrity.

I have since been further informed... my general position remains, but obviously there is more going on here than I knew... to be honest it sounds more like wanting to understand the ordeal... even in the guise of the fiction character... no shiny tho and quite offensive.
