It is no secret that I have issues, one of which is PATIENCE. I don't have it - and I want it.....NOW!

It doesn't help that despite having a pretty good understanding of 'the big picture', my short-term vision is filled with distracting floaters, creating this 'strain' to see forward that doesn't appear to affect most of the people I know.

It's an immaturity on my part, or perhaps 'a control issue' might be more accurate, both of which bring me to the same, end result: THIS 51 year old woman dealing with her tantruming inner-self. If acknowledgement is half the battle, there is hope that I won't die at my appointed time, still raising the child that is me!

In other news: We meet with the hand specialist tomorrow. It will have been...what....4 days since the MRI?

I think the key word here is "doesn't APPEAR to affect" most of the people you know! Patience is a virtue sadly lacking in most of us, I'd say. It shows up everywhere, affecting the little stuff as well as the big. I mess up artwork or crafts, for example, because I can't even wait long enough for glue or paint to dry...because I'm so impatient..can't wait to see the finished product. It's an ongoing struggle. Are you currently impatient with your weight loss goals - is that what you had in mind here?

Weight-loss necessarily takes time. I got used to that when I had my first, huge loss go-'round. This is about AM's wrist.

You know - we had the doctor's appointment on Tuesday, met with the specialist on Wednesday, had the MRI on Friday, and the follow-up is tomorrow. Seriously, this is how health-care should run. Viva la vida, staccato-style! See? I know better. I can't make it happen yesterday.

I want repair work to be completed by, at the very least, the middle of next month. :sigh:

...but I want to.

I had a teacher, Mr. Gregory who told us that patience is virtue acquired by few. So true. And sometimes we have more patience than at other times. I've just gone through a very impatient time, after being patient for so long. Something snapped.

My previous pastor's wife once said: "Be careful when you pray for patience. You'll get it and prayers will be answered to test it."
