Here goes my attempt at writing once per day for the month of November.

Let’s set a baseline first:

Overall life grade, at the moment: A-

Husband: A
Work: A-
Kids: A-
Working out: B-
Drinking water: C+
Sleep: B
Social Life: A
Finances: C-

Overall, life is good. Some things I will probably be writing about in the next 30 days:

First things first. Our 2nd Halloween as a family of four was (mostly) a success. We did a DC Comics theme, focusing on the Batman universe. Joaquin was batman, Aurion was batgirl, Aaron was the Joker and I was his girlfriend, Harlequin. (ps. I went a bit old school vs. using the updated “suicide squad” version, which was highly popular this year).

We started out at my friend Cyndi’s house with pizza and refreshments, and there were about 20 kids + 30 adults in attendance. Then we headed out to Hill Drive, which is the happenin’ spot in our ‘hood, and it was pretty great. Our friends Josh & Mackenzie and their two boys, Frank (10) and Felix (5) recently moved to Cali from MN, so we brought them along as well. We lasted about 90 minutes before Aurion hit her wall, so we headed back and relaxed at Cyndi’s house until both Aurion and Joaquin had hit their wall(s). They were both just hot messes at the end…

Joaquin had a blast trick-or-treating, and Aurion did great as well, for the most part. It was a fun night (albeit exhausting).
