What country do you call home? Do you like it? Any plans to defect? If you could live anywhere in the world and didn’t have the usual constraints (e.g. family, work), where would you choose?

England is my home, but I prefer to think that i belong to this world, whatever Theresa May’s opinion of world citizenship may be! If I could move I would go to the Med, to Spain probably but just looking at real estate websites can cause an autistic meltdown from T. I read about this the other day, someone on the spectrum can feel as much stress m by a theoretical change as a real one. Can I just pick my baby up and hug her real tight so that I can keep the bad stuff away?

What brought you to Prosebox? How did you hear about the site? How long have you been a member?

I became a prosebox member the summer before OD died. For several months I posted on both sites as I had friends in both places. Of course, this explains why I came here; following the leader!

Do you use the site for anything other than keeping a journal/diary? What do you find yourself writing about the most?

I write about whatever is prominent in my life at the time. Currently it’s Ts autism and the fight to get her a place in a specialised unit for secondary school.

And running. There always running!

What features do you enjoy and use the most on the site?

I like the drop down menu with the basic (but most commonly used) options, I love that I can use italics or bold just by chucking in some asterixes. I mainly love that I am able to keep in touch with friends.

If you could get any Prosebox feature you wanted for Christmas, what would it be?

A lot of my old friends to return, the ones who no longer journal.

Do you have a favorite entry you’ve posted here? If you could point to anything you’ve written as being your purest essence, what would it be?

Each entry is my favourite, I re read what I have written several times after posting until the next entry, then my previous favourite is callously cast aside…

Are you regularly expanding your Bookmarks/Friends list, or it is fairly fixed and you’re already content and established with your current readers? Do you regularly browse the front page for new people to read?

I try not to expand too much, I really struggle to keep on top of the bookmarks I have already. Often skim reading without noting so that I’m on top of things. However, once in a while I’ll be introduced to someone new and I’m a sucker for a new diary (in all reality).

What advice would you give to someone new to the site who is trying to gain friends and readers?

Read through the front page, if you see someone you like the look of, read their entry, then read back several entries just to be sure, and leave notes. Lots of notes. Encouraging, friendly and fun notes. Some people will come back to you and some won’t but you’ll get there.
