I have been given the opportunity to go to the Philippines on a mission trip in January. Three doctors I work with will be doing this trip. It is the last two weeks of January. I need about $1800 total to go on this trip.
With wedding planning, two kids in college and the cessation of child support (I know, right), it’s a giant struggle.
But I would be running my own OR, doing minor surgeries under my two surgeons licenses. This is a huge amazing offer. I would learn so much, it’s going to be a ton of hard work, long hours and I’ll miss the crap out of the kids, but I feel compelled to do this!
I could take the kids, my surgeons mother has offered my family her estate, driver and maid, but airfare for 6 isn’t feasible for certain.
Is this a valid reason to do a go fund me sort of thing? Would you find it to be something you would want to help?
